In Macon, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Georgia, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. The facility in milledgeville Georgia was a joke. They seemed to not know what they were doing or didn't care. Probably a little of both. The facility here in Macon Georgia was the same. I was told to go there by Sheridan Health. I was scheduled for an office visit on August 24th, was told by a woman there she had my prescriptions transferred from Walmart in milledgeville Georgia to first choice primary care pharmacy here in Macon Georgia. And that I would have a refill of my Lisinopril and metoprolol to last me until August 24th, and there would be no cost as I'm currently homeless. Well, apparently that was a bald faced lie because I called the pharmacy in milledgeville Georgia and they said it wasn't transferred. I'm 65 years old and cannot get my hypertension meds because I don't have the most important thing, money! So I'm gonna try the Macon Volunteer Clinic. If you don't have money, don't go to community healthcare system in Macon, because their claim on their website of "regardless of the ability to pay" in my case has been a lie.πŸ™‚ Abruptly coming off of the Metoprolol has screwed me up, I had to go to the Medical Center here Friday night because of a rapid heartbeat and ch

I have been receiving care from the Milledgeville office for years. However, due to job change I work further away. Which all of the offices close at 5:00 pm. The staff at the Airport road are absolutely the best. However, I missed 2 prescriptions pick ups due to trying to get to office before it closed. Yes I said 2 after being there 3years. Dr. Coleman the pharmacist in Warrenton, GA refused to send my medication to the Milledgeville clinic for pick and requiring me to pick up my medication almost 2hours from my job. Completely unreasonable. Very unprofessional. Almost like telling you you can on have sick days for your career.

Update: if you ask for a referral you might as well call yourself. I had a referral to Northside oncology, I can't afford a $400 fee just to see the doctor so asked for a referral to Payton Anderson Oncology. After 4 months of seeing the referral get faxed but didn't go through. I called Payton Anderson, CHCS had the wrong fax for 4 months. And couldn't make a 15 minute phone call. That's not bad at your job that's inept. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Appointment times are a suggestion. 1-1.5 after your appointment you might see the doctor. Staff swings from incompetent but nice to mean but at least gets it done. Came in for refills, they forgot to send in the refills... They didn't send in the new meds they prescribed. Just done with this, they get away with it because most people are on the sliding fee. People have no where else to go.

My husband goes here and he wanted to give a good review on Laquita Holloway. She has always treated him nice and always concerned about his health from day one. She always brings a smile to his face when he see her . There needs to be more nurses like her. She is truly one of a kind!

Went here for a followup to a hospital stay and was treated with respect & dignity by all even though they knew I did not have insurance! The check-in staff to the tech who took my vitals & A1C to the doctors who performed the exam to the lady who took my blood and to the person who checked me out and scheduled my next appointment! Everybody was pleasant and did not 'hurry through any phase of my visit. Doctors were very attentive and made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions thoroughly! Of all my six stays in the hospital (I have congestive heart failure) I have never gone for a follow-up afterwards and finally did this time. Certainly will not hesitate to do so in the future thanks to this experience!
